1. Who we are
RedditRabbit ("we", "us", "our") is an AI-powered tool that rewrites Reddit post drafts to better match the style and norms of a target subreddit. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Reddit, Inc.
2. What data we collect
- Account data — your name, email address, and hashed password when you create an account. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from Google.
- Post content— the text of the draft you submit for analysis. This is sent to OpenAI's API to generate a rewrite and is stored in your analysis history if you are signed in.
- Usage data — the subreddit you target, features you enable (emotional buffer, flair suggestions, posting time), and timestamps of analyses.
- Technical data — standard server logs including IP addresses, browser type, and referring URLs. We do not use third-party analytics trackers.
3. How we use your data
- To provide, operate, and improve the RedditRabbit service.
- To process your posts through AI and return results to you.
- To store your analysis history so you can review past results.
- To send transactional emails (password reset, account notifications) where applicable.
- We do not sell your data, and we do not use your post content to train our own models.
4. Third-party services
We use the following third-party services to operate RedditRabbit:
- OpenAI— your post content is sent to OpenAI's API for rewriting. OpenAI's data usage policy applies to data processed through their API. By default, OpenAI does not use API data to train models.
- Google OAuth— if you choose to sign in with Google, Google's privacy policy governs that authentication.
- MongoDB Atlas — your account and analysis history are stored in a hosted MongoDB database.
5. Data retention
Your account data and analysis history are retained for as long as your account exists. You can delete individual history items from the History page at any time. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data from the Settings page.
6. Cookies and session storage
We use browser session storage to temporarily hold your draft and analysis results within a single session. This data is never written to a server without your action and is cleared when you close the tab. We use a session cookie issued by NextAuth.js for authentication. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
7. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can exercise these rights by:
- Deleting your account via Settings, which removes all stored data immediately.
- Contacting us at the email address below for any other requests.
8. Children
RedditRabbit is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently done so, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of RedditRabbit after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
